Welcome to

Lancashire Fly Fishing, Tuition and River Guiding service.

My name is Mike Roden(APGAI) and I am a professional fly fishing instructor and river guide, operating in Lancashire and the North West of England.

Fully qualified fly fishing instructor in both single handed and double handed casting.

I ahve my own fishery Curley's Fishery in Horwich Bolton and I am a director at Tenkara Centre UK

Fly Fishing At Curley's Fishery

This region has a lot to offer, not only to those who are lucky enough to live here but also, the visiting fly fisher. Flyfishing in Lancashire and the North West area abounds with many opportunities from the moorland reservoirs, natural lakes, commercial fisheries and a choice of rivers flowing through beautiful countryside. You can do salmon fly fishing, trout fly fishing and grayling fly fishing which means you can basically fish on our rivers all year round.

Since making the decision to be a full-time fly fishing instructor and guide, in 2001, I have been busy helping hundreds of my clients, from complete beginners to the more experienced, from basic fly fishing tuition in single or double handed rods to full days river guiding. I have witnessed the pleasure that they get from participating fully in this wonderful sport. Maybe achieving a great casting technique or catching their first wild Brown Trout, Salmon or Grayling, everybody has their own objectives. All I try to do is help them to achieve these and have a bit of fun along the way.

I now feature in the directory of Instructors at fly fishing tackle suppliers Fishtec
