Welcome to Lancashire Fly Fishing, Tuition and River Guiding service. My name is Mike Roden(APGAI) and I am a professional fly fishing instructor and river guide, operating in Lancashire and the North West of England.
	I am an approved Hardy/Greys Academy Instructor

 

This region has a lot to offer, not only to those who are lucky enough to live here but also, the visiting fly fisher.

Flyfishing in Lancashire and the North West area abounds with many opportunities from the moorland reservoirs,

natural lakes, commercial fisheries and a choice of rivers flowing through beautiful countryside.

Since making the decision to be a full-time fly fishing instructor and guide, in 2001, I have been busy helping hundreds

of my clients, from complete beginners to the more experienced, from basic casting lessons to full days river guiding.

I have witnessed the pleasure that they get from participating fully in this wonderful sport.

Maybe achieving a great casting technique or catching their first wild Brown Trout or Grayling,

everybody has their own objectives. All I try to do is help them to achieve these and have a bit of fun along the way.

The qualifications I hold are

APGAI (Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor)

GAIC (Game Angling Instructors Association Certificate)

L2CCA (Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Game Angling).

I am also licensed with the S&TA (Salmon & Trout Association)

have a 1st Aid certificate, Full liability insurance

and have attended a Child Protection Awareness course and have been CRB checked.

I am a member of the Game Angling Instructors Association, Salmon and Trout Association & the British Float Tube Association.
